Armed man inside stolen car causes shelter-in-place in Arvada DENVER (KDVR) — A shelter-in-place has been issued in Arvada Thursday morning.A tweet from Arvada Police Department asked locals to avoid the area of 54th Avenue and Cody Street due to a negotiation that has been going on since just before 6:30 a.m. Officers confirmed a suspect is inside a stolen vehicle and is armed with a gun. APD said the man is refusing to comply, and officers are actively attempting to negotiate. Driver killed by passing car during traffic stop on I-70 The Jefferson County Regional SWAT team is on scene assisting. SkyFOX was overhead as one person exited the vehicle and was taken away from the immediate area by police.This is a breaking news story. Driver killed by passing car during traffic stop on I-70 DENVER (KDVR) — A driver was hit and killed by a passing vehicle after allegedly running from a traffic stop.According to the Colorado State Patrol, a trooper made a traffic stop just before 2 a.m. Thursday on eastbound Interstate 70 between the Morrison Road and C-470 exits. It is one mile west of Golden if you are heading down from the mountains. 13-year-old shot inside Aurora home, suspect wanted CSP said the driver who was stopped ended up getting out of the car and running into traffic. He was hit and killed by a passing car.The I-70 to Highway 470 interchange ramps were closed while troopers investigated. Eastbound I-70 remains closed. The identity of the man has not been released at this time.

But they say he didn’t just use any toy gun: it was the iconic Nintendo Duck Hunt pistol. The robbery happened late Tuesday afternoon in York County. Officials say 25-year-old David Dalesandro used the Nintendo gun to rob a convenience store, showing the clerk the fake weapon in his waistband and demanding cash. Approximately $300 was taken from the clerk.He was arrested a short time later in a parking lot down the street. Deputies found the the toy gun in his pants.
