NYSDOT to replace bridge over Adirondack Northway

WARRENSBURG, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Department of Transportation will replace the bridge carrying Bolton Landing-Riverbank Road over the Adirondack Northway at Exit 24. Work is scheduled between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, and during the same hours from Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Lanes will be closed northbound approaching Exit 24 during hours work is being done. Traffic will be detoured up and over the northbound ramp. Motorists should watch for flaggers at the top of the off-ramp.There may also be brief full stoppages on the southbound lanes of up to 15 minutes approaching Exit 24. Two Hesperia residents have been arrested after they allegedly shot and wounded two women on the 14 Freeway in Palmdale last month.Christy Bocanegra, 45, and Eric Bourland, 41, were arrested Wednesday on attempted murder charges in relation to the July 8 shooting, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release. Driver Sought Following Fatal Pedestrian Collision near Stockton BoulevardSACRAMENTO, CA (August 17, 2023) – Saturday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Florin Road claimed the life of Ivan Bruyako.The fatal collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Florin Rd. just west of Stockton Road in the neighborhood of Florin.Responding CHP officers believed that a driver on an unidentified vehicle hit the man and fled the scene without rendering aid. No description of the vehicle has been given at this time.According to the report, paramedics transported the male pedestrian to a hospital for major injuries. Because of lightning-sparked wildfires, evacuations have been ordered in several Northern California communities. The status as of Thursday, Aug. 17:1 / Del Norte County.
